Are you ready for some Futsal?

Futsal is the only form of indoor soccer endorsed by FIFA. It earned the status of FIFA’s official form of indoor soccer in the 1980s as it was recognized as a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors. It is a 5 v 5 small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, heavier low bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls.

Jacksonville Scene 5 vs 5 Coed Futsal

We will play every Wednesday Night at North Floriday Futsal.

Teams can have a maximum of 10 players.   Solo Free Agents will be placed on the Free Agents team(s).

During play: 5 players per team on the field, including the goalie.  The maximum number of males on the field is 3 and the minimum number of females is 2.  You may replace a male player with a female player, but you cannot replace a female with a male.

The regular season is 7 weeks, followed by single-elimination playoffs (1-2 weeks).  All teams that have less than 2 forfeits will make playoffs.

The game will consist of two 20-minute halves.

Includes: Referee (there is no additional charge for officials), futsal balls, team shirst, champion prizes, administration and a sponsor bar after every game

Players must provide their own shin guards and goalie gloves.  No metal spikes.  Turf and gym shoes are allowed.

This is the game that outdoor soccer players around the globe play to refine and maintain their control skills and touch. It is superior to walled soccer in terms of developing better skills and technique. In traditional American walled soccer, players regularly whack the ball (and sometimes their bodies) against the boards which promotes improper technique and too often rewards errant play. In Futsal, players are constantly reminded to play the same quality control game that is required for success in the outdoor game.  It is played in all the continents of the world by over 100 countries with 12 million players.
